How do we do it?
The exact process varies depending on the lawn's individual needs, but the the basis is
- Mow short
- Scarify to remove dead grass (thatch) and moss
- Aerate (manually or with machine)
- Address any specific requirements (drainage, compaction, clay etc)
- Seed and feed
- Top dress (patches or the entire lawn)
How long does it take?
This will vary from lawn to lawn and is very dependent on the weather, but generally:
- Germination should begin after 2 weeks
- Thickening after 4 weeks (mowing can begin)
- Lawn should be fully restored after 8 weeks
